For finance teams and accountancy firms
I come to your office and set your team up to use AI properly, on the accounting system and the files they already work in. The routine work gets drafted for them, and a person still checks everything before it is posted, paid or sent. Leave it as it is, and the team keeps spending hours on work AI could draft for them.
The teams I work with
"I run finance here, as head of finance or financial controller, and there are 2 to 10 of us."
"The rest of the business already uses AI. Finance does not yet."
"We use ChatGPT or Claude for simple things, but I am wary of linking it to the ledger."
"I own the business. I tried to teach them myself, and I could not."
"We are an accountancy practice, and I want the team using AI across our clients' ledgers, safely."
The half day
We run from 9:00 to 13:00 at your office, with a break from 11:00 to 11:15. All of it happens on your own files and your own systems.
Claude is the AI assistant the day is built on. We start with the privacy settings, then set up Projects (workspaces in Claude that keep your files and instructions together) linked to your own folders. I connect Claude to your accounting system, your spreadsheets and your Word reports, and set up work that runs on its own. Your team also shows me how they work now, so we build around that.
We pick the tasks that eat your team's time and automate them, on your real files, not a demo spreadsheet.
Your accounting system has AI features of its own. We go through what to switch on, what to review before you rely on it, and what is still in beta, which means the supplier is still testing it.
We build an agent together, which is a set of instructions Claude runs on its own. It runs every week without anyone starting it, and a person on your team checks what it produces.
The systems
Each of these has AI features of its own. They are partly in beta and change every month, so on the day I tell you what works, what needs a person to review it, and what is marketing.
JAX, Xero's assistant, matches bank transactions on Grow plans and up, reads receipts and bills, and answers questions.
QuickBooks Accounting AI categorises bank transactions and flags likely errors; VAT AI checks figures before you file.
Sage Copilot, in Sage Accounting, drafts overdue payment reminders, flags likely mistakes and spots pay that looks unusual.
Zia answers questions, drafts invoices and quotes from prompts and flags late payers; bank categorisation is in early access.
FreeAgent's Smart Capture reads receipts and bills, extracts the details and matches them to bank transactions.
Sage Intacct agents track month-end close tasks, flag errors and outliers, and match supplier bills to purchase orders.
Copilot in Business Central proposes extra bank reconciliation matches and suggests general ledger accounts for unmatched lines; in preview.
NetSuite Bill Capture, an add-on, reads supplier invoices, fills in the bill and matches it to purchase orders.

The AI inside the accounting systems is partly in beta, and it changes every month. On the day I tell you what works, what needs a person to review it, and what is marketing.
The AI drafts. A person on your team posts, pays and sends.
Some teams gain only a few hours a week. If that is you, I will say so on the pre-session call rather than sell you the day.
